A comprehensive, free information session delivered in Farsi for Iranian newcomers and families. This event covers essential financial topics such as navigating the Canadian banking system, building credit, and understanding registered savings accounts like TFSAs, RRSPs, FHSAs, RESPs, and RDSPs. Attendees will also learn smart tax-planning strategies, debt consolidation tips, long-term wealth protection, and discuss how to avoid financial mistakes common among newcomers. The session will be led by Iranian Canadian financial expert Hossein Noorbakhsh, giving attendees the opportunity to ask more specific questions about the Canadian financial system.

A two-day workshop designed specifically for Iranian and Farsi-speaking women seeking to take control of their financial futures, overcome systemic barriers, and build long-term independence in Canada. Over the course of two days, participants will gain practical tools and knowledge on essential topics including personal and family budgeting, basic bookkeeping, navigating Canadian banking systems, understanding tax-saving registered accounts, managing credit, and avoiding common financial mistakes. This workshop will be led by BCIT accounting professor Yasamin Alami, giving attendees the opportunity to ask more specific questions about the Canadian financial system.
